The integration of Labster is done in two parts:

  1. The first one is the most technical part and must be done by the LMS staff of your school. You won't be able to move forward in the implementation if this setup is not done properly.
  2. Then when Labster is identified as a tool in your LMS, you can add our simulations into your course so your students can access & run them!

After your LMS Admin successfully configured Labster as an LTI Tool, the only step left to do is to upload the simulations to your course and to publish them to your assignments.

You can find the full guidelines on our Help Center by browsing the name of your LMS. You will find an article named: ''Instructor - Add Labster simulations to your (YOUR LMS NAME) course''

-First of all, you will need to upload a common cartridge file.

To download your common cartridge file you will need access to the Faculty Resources Page. If you haven't received a link to the Faculty Resources Page, reach out to your Labster representative.

You can see how to download a common cartridge file HERE. You can select "all package simulation" or just a few labs!

*If you are using Safari to download the common cartridge file (.zip), sometimes, Safari will automatically unzip the file, and uploading an unzipped file to your LMS will not work. Make sure you have disabled Safari from automatically unzipping files or use another browser (Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox).

-Once you've downloaded your common cartridge file, you need to go to your LMS and upload the common cartridge file from there. If you are not sure where to find the downloaded common cartridge file, here are a couple of quick tips:

1.) Navigate to your ''Downloads'' folder (or check what is your default folder when downloading files)
2.) Your common cartridge file will look something like this: (starts with "cc_" and ends with "ZIP file")

Now, all you have to do is follow our step-by-step guide and you will be ready to use Labster in your course!

Tips: Make sure to select "enable evaluation" if you want the grades to be transferred to your grade book!
