Make sure you are not already holding an item

The system is designed to only pick up one item at a time.

Sometimes you are unable to pick an object up because you are still holding another object: drop the object you're holding on a table and try to pick the other object up.

Note: In most cases, you need to drop the item that you currently holding on to where you have picked it up, initially.

Also, it may occur that you had moved from one workbench to another without dropping the object you were holding onto the previous workbench. In this case, you have to go back to the workbench to drop the item there.

In the image below, notice that the player is already holding a lab coat, which is preventing them from picking up more items. 

Basic Troubleshooting

On a few occasions, you might need to load the simulation from a checkpoint or try it in another browser (we suggest Mozilla Firefox).

Note: If Accessibility Mode is ON, you need to click on the "tab" button on your keyboard to highlight clickable items in the simulation
