(Admin) How to configure the LTI 1.3 tool for Moodle


  • You must have Administrator credentials for the Moodle installation to be able to set up the LTI 1.3 tool.

  • You must have received a custom tool URL from your Labster Customer Success Manager. This is the URL that you will need to apply on step 5 of the registration process.

  • You must have Moodle Version 3.10 or later installed.

Step-by-step instructions

  1. Log into Moodle as an Administrator

  2. Select Site Administration under the Administration panel on the left side of the screen

  3. Select Plugins

  4. Under Activity modules, scroll down to External tool and select Manage tools

  5. Enter the custom tool URL provided by your Labster Customer Success Manager and click Add LTI Advantage

  6. Under Tools, locate Labster tool and click Activate

After activating the Labster Tool, please open the tool settings to check if all the services are set up accordingly (refer to the screenshots below):
