Simulation Issues & Tips

Media won't work or Red screen in Safari

Please keep in mind that we don't support Safari. Using it might cause unexpected glitches or errors:

Media won't work

Safari blocks media with sound by default. You can change that by updating a simple parameter:

1. In your Safari browser window, on the top, click on Safari > Preferences

2. On the top menu, navigate to the tab Websites, and on the right-hand side, select Auto-Play

3. Click on the drop-down menu next to 'When visiting other websites and select the option 'Allow All Auto-Play'.

You should now be able to play and hear all the media available in the simulations.

Alternatively, you can use any other of our supported browsers.

Red screen

You may see a red screen in a simulation if you have limited free memory on your laptop. To fix this, here are the recommended options:

Option 1: Try Chrome Instead

Try the Chrome browser instead. It handles memory better than other browsers.
You can download it for free here.

Option 2: Check minimum requirements

Finally, if you still experience the issue, it may be because you have less than 4GB of memory on your laptop, which is one of the minimum system requirements for using Labster. Please check the page above, to make sure you use a laptop that meets the minimum requirements.
