Allowing Pop-Ups in Mozilla Firefox

If you're having trouble loading a simulation and notice a banner at the top of Mozilla Firefox saying that pop-ups are being blocked, follow these steps to allow pop-ups and resolve the issue.

πŸ› οΈ Step-by-Step Guide:

  1. Look for the Pop-Up Blocked Banner

    • When you attempt to play a simulation, you may see a notification at the top of your browser indicating that pop-ups are being blocked.

    • This banner will appear near the address bar with a message like "Pop-ups blocked" or something similar.

  2. Click on the Preferences/Options Button

    • In the pop-up banner, you will see a button or link labeled "Preferences" or "Options."

    • Click on this button to open the settings where you can manage pop-up settings.

  3. Allow Pop-Ups

    • After clicking the button, a new settings page or pop-up window will appear with options for controlling pop-ups.

    • Look for an option to "Allow pop-ups from this site" or a similar setting.

    • Enable this option to allow pop-ups for the site you're currently visiting.

  4. Reload the Simulation

    • Once you have allowed pop-ups, go back to the simulation page.

    • Click the Play button again to try loading the simulation.

⚑Still Not Working?

If you're still unable to load the simulation after allowing pop-ups:

  • Try refreshing the page or restarting your browser.

  • Ensure that no additional pop-up blockers (like extensions) are enabled in your Firefox settings.

  • Check if your browser is up to date by navigating to the menu (three horizontal lines in the upper-right corner) and selecting Help > About Firefox.
