Students don't receive their invitation email from Course Manager

If some of your students don't receive their email invitation, here is what to do.

Error message while inviting your students or they don't receive the invitation email

If you are accessing Labster through https://my.labster.com and your students are not receiving the invitation email or you are receiving the "Student onboarding error" message

Please follow these steps:

  1. Ask your students to check their Junk/Spam folder in their email,

  2. Contact your LMS Admin and make sure that our domains mail.my.labster.com and eu.mail.my.labster.com and email addresses no-reply@mail.my.labster.com and no-reply@eu.mail.my.labster.com are allowed and whitelisted. For administrators using Google Admin Console, follow these steps to ensure whitelisting:

  • Navigate to the Google Admin Console and use the App Access Control page.

  • Add Labster's Client ID: [454627250662-4irf7i4e2nusl6bjn6gpepl6oaqa9afa.apps.googleusercontent.com](https://454627250662-4irf7i4e2nusl6bjn6gpepl6oaqa9afa.apps.googleusercontent.com) following the OAuth App process.

  • Ensure that the entire organization or top-level organizational unit is covered.

Students are listed as "invited" but nothing happens

If your students are listed as "invited", then they can request a new activation email by going to my.labster.com and clicking the 'forgot password?' link.

If they still aren't receiving that activation email, please feel free to have them reach out to our support team for further assistance!

How to whitelist Labster email confirmations in Google Admin Console

To ensure that Labster email confirmations are delivered successfully, follow these steps if you are using Google Admin Console:

  1. Log into the Google Admin Console.

  2. Navigate to the App Access Control page.

  3. Click the Add app button.

  4. Select OAuth App Name or Client ID.

  5. Search for Labster using this Client ID:

  6. Select Labster from the drop-down menu that appears.

  7. Click Add to confirm the whitelisting. By completing this process, Labster emails and communication will not be blocked or filtered by your organization's systems. Make sure to apply this whitelisting to the organization's top-level OU to avoid disrupting communication for both staff and students.
