FAQs
How can you log in to your Labster account?
If you have already activated your account, you can navigate to my.labster.com to log in. If your account is not activated yet, check if you have received an activation email from Labster. The email should come from no-reply@mail.my.labster.com
How can you access your account settings?
To access your account settings, you'll need to log in to your Labster account and click on your name in the bottom left corner. This will bring up a settings menu, where you can edit your details, change your language, turn on/off the Accessibility Mode, and change your password.
How will your students access Labster?
After activating your account and creating a course, you will need to invite your students.
There are several ways for you to invite your students to join your course, their access method will be directly impacted by the way you invite them:
Manual or CSV File: students will receive an invitation email to activate their account. then they will simply need to login to my.labster.com
Course Link: after you have created a Course Link and shared it with students, they can copy & paste the URL into their browser. Then, they will be asked to fill out their email, they will receive a confirmation email and they will be able to log in and access their course.
Course Code: students can go to my.labster.com and select "Sign-up with a course code". Same as when using the Course Link, students will be asked to fill out their email address.
Can you share a simulation URL with the students?
Although it is not currently possible to share the link to a specific simulation, instructors can share a link to the course itself, where students will be able to access all published simulations.
Will grades sync with the LMS grade book?
Grades will not sync with your LMS grade book when using Labster's Course Manager. You can access your student’s progress and grades through the ‘Grades’ tab on the sidebar. Visit this article to learn more about the Labster Dashboard.
Can you schedule when a simulation is published?
Absolutely! You can schedule when the simulation becomes visible and accessible to your students, and when the simulation is due. You can also customize how many attempts students can submit for each simulation.
Can you add co-instructors to my course?
You can invite up to 10 co-instructors to your course. To do this, you just need to click on the course name and then "+ Add co-instructor". You will then be able to fill in their details and send the invite:
How can you check device compatibility for Labster simulations?
Each Labster simulation has a compatibility logo, which indicates that this specific simulation is compatible with a specific device.

The Laptop symbol indicates that the simulation is compatible with Windows/macOS, laptop, and desktop computers, which meet our system requirements.
The Apple Logo symbol indicates that the simulation is compatible with iPads when using our iPad app.
The Chromebook logo symbol indicates that the simulation is compatible with Chromebook devices when using our Chromebook app.

Can you archive a course?
You can archive your course by clicking on the 3 dots next to your course name and selecting the "Archive" option.
Can you assign attempts to students individually?
Yes, you can assign attempts to students individually if required. This can be helpful if a student experiences technical difficulties and needs to restart an attempt, but has already used up all their assigned attempts.
To do this, navigate to the Grades section and click on the "Per Student" option. Find the student whose attempts you wish to update and edit their assigned attempts as needed by clicking on the "+ Set Attempts" option.
Is it possible to log in using usernames instead of email addresses?
It is now possible to generate usernames for student accounts by request, which can be used to log in to Labster via a dedicated landing page: https://secure.my.labster.com
