How to Access Simulations on Your iPad

If you're using an iPad to access simulations, you'll need to use our app. You can download the app here.

**Note: Once that Labster app is downloaded, please do not open it directly! This will redirect you to the login portal for the standalone version of Labster which your school does not use. Instead, we'll then want to proceed with the following steps:

1) On your iPad, Go to the Settings app, head into the Safari section and in there disable:

**(Note: If it seems like a setting is missing, scroll to the "advanced settings" of the Safari section as the setting should be there!)

  • Prevent Cross Site Tracking

  • Block Pop ups

  • Block All Cookies

Some of these settings may already be disabled, but it's important to double check to ensure that the app will work properly.

2) Next, please go to the Chrome section and enable

  • Allow Cross-Website Tracking

3) Lastly, open the Chrome browser and click the 3 dots to head to the Chrome browser's settings:

From the settings, head to the Content Settings section and turn off "Block Pop ups".

If you're having trouble with these steps, you can also follow the instructions in this video: https://www.loom.com/share/c28936e36f254cef989b11a56e58b5b2

Once these steps have been completed, please restart your iPad to ensure that those setting changes go through. After that, please sign back into your course through the Chrome app and you should now see a "play in app" button when attempting to launch that simulation!

If any issues persist, please record a screen-recording of these settings, as well as what the error looks like when you attempt to access the simulation from your course. Then, send that to customer.support@labster.com, as that should help us quickly pinpoint the issue and find a resolution!
