First of all, welcome to Labster! We’re thrilled to have you start exploring our virtual science lab simulations.
We’ve mapped out your journey as a student with Labster here. If you have any questions, don’t hesitate to reach out to us via chat!
Overview of your Labster's journey
Your instructor will let you know when to begin using Labster. Depending on your school's agreement with Labster, you will access our simulations either through our platform (my.labster.com) or directly within your LMS (Canvas, Blackboard, Moodle).
Click the simulation link to load it; payment may be required at this step.
Learn with Labster by completing all the simulations assigned by your instructor.
Track your grades and progress using the Labster Student Dashboard.
Your Journey Step by Step
You will need to create an account with Labster only if you're accessing our simulations through our platform. If Labster is integrated within your school portal (LMS), you won't need to create an account, as everything will be accessible directly from the LMS.
Access Labster
Option A - Course Manager (https://my.labster.com/login)
Your instructor has enrolled you in a course, and you should have received an activation email from Labster. Follow the steps in the invitation email to create your account.
Alternatively, if your instructor shared a course link or course code with you, follow these steps:
Course Link: Copy and paste the link into your browser's URL bar. After entering your email address, you'll receive a confirmation email, and you can log in to the platform.
Course Code: Go to my.labster.com and click "Sign up with a course code." After entering your email address, you'll receive a confirmation email, and you can log in to the platform.

Option B - Labster is integrated with your School's LMS (Blackboard, Moodle, Canvas, etc.)
If Labster is integrated with your school's LMS, you won't need an account with Course Manager. Instead, you can simply access your course, assignment, or teacher syllabus from your school portal and launch a simulation directly from there. Please do not attempt to log in to my.labster.com.
2. Click on the simulation link to load it
Once you've created your account or found Labster simulations in your school's portal, click on the simulation to load it.
A payment may be required during the loading screen. Check with your instructor to confirm if you need to purchase a voucher code from your campus bookstore or pay by credit card.
📚 You can read more information about purchasing access here
3. Play & replay simulation
You can play the simulation, resume it, and reload the mission from the last checkpoint to replay a specific part if needed.
As long as the simulation is published, you can play it as many times as you like. However, your instructor may have set a limit on the number of graded attempts.
