Loading Simulation Difficulties

What to do in case the simulation does not load or does not start.

Updated over 5 months ago

There are many factors that can lead to loading issues like

  • outdated browsers,

  • running out of RAM space,

  • or anti-virus blocking the simulation itself.

So, it is important to identify what's most like is the root cause of the loading difficulty.

⌛Loading Time  - up to 5 minutes

Depending on your computer and internet speeds, the simulation might take up to five minutes to load.

The simulation may pause several times during the loading process at 0%, 25%, or 99%. This is normal. Please wait a few seconds and the loading will continue.

It is important that you stay on the loading tab, as switching tabs might pause the loading.

⏳⏳Loading stuck for more than 5 minutes at the same progress

Lack of free memory in your device or browser (RAM space) is usually the issue.

  1. Close all browser windows to clear your computer memory,

  2. Clear your browser cache & cookies or switch between our 2 supported browsers Chrome <> Firefox,

  3. Update the browser to its latest version

    1. Update Chrome (Labster is compatible with the Chrome V114 and higher only)

  4. Restart your laptop,

  5. Then try to load the simulation again with no other programs

🛠️Help depending on the loading progress

  1. Loading stuck at 0%:

Our simulations are meant to open in a new tab and load in full screen. Restart your laptop, or close all browser windows to clear your computer memory.

  2. Loading stuck at 22-25%:

Please wait. Keep the tab open and visible to not pause loading. It can take up to 5 minutes.

  3. Loading error at 25%:

If you see an error message at 25% progress, please see this guide on how to prevent anti-virus tools from blocking Labster.

  4. Loading stuck at 100%:

Almost there. Just wait a bit. In most cases, it will take 5-10 seconds, but on older laptops, it can take up to 2 minutes when doing the final preparation of the 3D lab for you.
