While loading or playing a simulation, you might experience an 'Out of Memory' error message. Here is how to overcome it.

Why do this error message appear

The Out of Memory (JavaScript / Unity) error usually occurs when your device doesn't have enough system memory (RAM), or when your browser cannot allocate enough system memory for Labster simulations.

The message can either look like 👇

"Out of memory"

or 👇

"An error occurred running the Unity content. See you browser JavaScript console for more info"

🛠️Troubleshooting Steps

If you encounter this error, please follow these troubleshooting steps:

  1. Make sure your device meets our system requirements. If you play from an iPad or Chromebook, please play the simulation from the app.

  2. Restart your device to free up system memory.

  3. Clear your browser's history, cache, and cookies:

  4. Make sure you close all other tabs in your browser and programs/apps on your device when playing Labster simulations.

  5. Use the latest version of either Google Chrome or Mozilla Firefox, which are the currently supported browsers.

  6. Make sure that you have a decent internet speed and a stable connection.
