Stuck in the "teleporting" screen

Getting stuck in the "teleporting" stage due to device running out of memory (RAM)

Updated over a year ago

In some cases, users can get stuck at the "Teleporting" screen in a simulation. This usually occurs on low-end devices that have low amounts of system memory (RAM), or due to other technical/network issues. If you encounter this issue, we recommend that you close all other tabs in your browser and/or restart your laptop to free up system memory.

The Out of Memory error message usually indicates that your computer or browser has ran out of system memory. To troubleshoot and fix the issue, please ensure that:

  1. You restarted your computer in order to free up system memory

  2. Only Labster is open in your browser and all other tabs are closed

  3. All other programs on your device are closed

  4. You use one of our supported browsers at their latest version (click on the browser name to see how to update them): Firefox or Chrome

  5. You've cleared your browser's history, cache, and cookies (click on the name of the browser you use down below to see how to do it), and have closed your browser and restarted the simulation:
