Prerequisites
You must have Administrator credentials for the D2L/Brightspace installation to be able to set up the LTI 1.3 tool.
You must have received a custom tool URL from your Labster Customer Success Manager. This is the URL that you will need to apply on step 4 of the registration process.
Log in to your Brightspace/D2L account
Click on the settings cog and click Manage Extensibility
Click the LTI advantage tab and then Click Register Tool
Select Dynamic
Enter the URL you received from your Labster Customer Success Manager
Make sure the checkbox labeled [ ] configure deployment is checked and click Register
Hitting register will register the tool but is likely to take you to a blank page. You simply need to return to Brightspace by hitting back in the browser.
The tool will likely need to be enabled manually now by returning to manage extensibility, finding the tool in the disabled list, clicking on it, and manually enabling it using the toggle at the top of the page
Once you enable the tool, open the tool and scroll down until you find View Deployments and click on that button
On the deployment screen, scroll down to Security Settings and checkmark the Org Unit Information to be shared with the tool
Also, make sure you add all the courses that will be using Labster by going to the deployment settings, scrolling down until you find the Make tool available button, and Add Org Units that will be using the tool
Click Save and Close
**Note: After saving and closing, please revisit the tool to ensure that it is enabled. If the tool appears as disabled, please re-enable it.
