Using interactive virtual simulations like Labster provides an engaging and interactive learning experience. However, technical glitches or error messages may occasionally arise during use.
If your simulation feels stuck or frozen, don't worry - many of these issues can be resolved with a few simple steps.
Basic Labster Troubleshooting🔧
Browser
-
Try it in another browser (we currently support Google Chrome and Mozilla Firefox)
-
Update your browser to its latest version: Labster simulations work best on the latest versions of browsers. If you're using an older browser, consider updating to the newest version.
-
If you are accessing Labster through Canvas, these browser requirements need to be checked.
Device & Network
-
Restart your computer
-
If you are using an Ipad, a tablet or Chromebook consider playing from the app.
-
If you are using a Chromebook, try to optimize the performance here
-
Check Your Internet Connection: Labster simulations require a stable internet connection. If you're experiencing issues, check your connection and try to reconnect if necessary.
Simulation
-
Start the simulation from the beginning (instead of loading a checkpoint)
-
In simulations where there is an equation or a panel, you won't see an error message. In these cases, you will need to visit the Theory tab to learn how to solve your question and continue with your simulation!
